CITY OF CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT AND
CITY COUNCIL (Joint Special Meeting)
September 14, 2010
4:45 p.m.
City Hall Conference Room 3, 1200 Carlsbad Village Drive
CALL TO ORDER: President/Mayor Lewis called the Meeting to order at 4:45 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy Secretary, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). To hold a closed session to discuss
pending litigation as follows:
City and CMWD v. Allianz Global Risks US Insurance Company and Insurance
Company of Pennsylvania, Case No. 37-2007-00072351-CU-IC-CTL /Appeals
#0053843.
Board/Council reconvened at 5:25 p.m. with all 5 members present. President/Mayor Lewis
announced that the Board/Council heard the items and directed General Counsel/City Attorney
and staff on the matter.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of September 14, 2010, was adjourned at 5:30p.m.
