MEETING OF: CITY COUNCIL AND CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER
DISTRICT (Joint Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: October 26, 2010
TIME OF MEETING: 5:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Hall Conference Room 3,1200 Carlsbad Village Drive,
Carlsbad
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor/President Lewis called the Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk/Deputy Secretary, as follows:
Present: Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council/Board adjourned into Closed Session at 5:00pm pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9. To hold a closed session to discuss
initiation of litigation against Jefferson Insurance Company, Stonewall Insurance
Company and Canadian Indemnity pursuant to subdivision (c).
The Council/Board reconvened at 5:20 p.m. with five members present. Mayor/President Lewis
announced that Council/Board heard the information presented and directed the City
Attorney/General Counsel and staff on the matter.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Joint Special Meeting of October 26, 2010, was adjourned at 5:21 p.m.
