MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: August 16, 2011
TIME OF MEETING: Immediately following the conclusion of the Special Meeting
of the Carlsbad City Council
PLACE OF MEETING: Planning Conference Room, Faraday Administration Center,
1635 Faraday Avenue, Carlsbad, California
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hall called the Meeting to order at 12:50 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Senior Deputy Clerk, as follows:
Present: Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 12:50 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.8. To hold a closed session to instruct its
negotiators (Cynthia Haas, Deputy City Manager, David Hauser, Property and
Environmental Management Director and Joe Garuba, Municipal Property Manager)
regarding purchase, sale, exchange or lease of real property located and generally
identified as:
Property Owner: City of Carlsbad
Location: Plaza Camino Real parking lot at
2525 El Camino Real
Negotiation Party: Jerry Engen
For Plaza Camino Real c/o Westfield, LLC
The Council reconvened at 12:54 p.m. with five members present. Mayor Hall announced that
Council directed the City Attorney and staff on the matter.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of August 16, 2011 was adjourned at 12:57 p.m.
