MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: September 27, 2011
TIME OF MEETING: 4:15 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Hall Conference Room 3, 1200 Carlsbad Village
Drive, Carlsbad, California
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
Absent: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 4:17 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). To hold a closed session to discuss
pending litigation as follows:
Jeanne Berg v. City of Carlsbad I Case No. 09 cv 2669 JAH BLM.
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(c). To hold a closed session to
consider initiation of litigation against Western Surety Company.
3. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(a). To hold a closed session to discuss
pending litigation as follows:
Friends of Aviara v. City of Carlsbad, Case No. 37-2010-00050553-CU-TT-NC.
The Council reconvened at 5:37 p.m. with five members present. Mayor Hall announced that Council
directed the City Attorney and staff on the matters.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of September 27, 2011 was adjourned at 5:39 p.m.
