MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: May 29, 2012
TIME OF MEETING: Immediately following City Council Workshop
PLACE OF MEETING: Planning Library, 1635 Faraday Avenue, Cartsbad,
California
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 12:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Assistant City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM:
None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 12:30 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957.6. To hold a closed session to discuss
employer-employee relations, salaries, salary schedules and compensation in the
form of fringe benefits of its employees represented by CCEA with designated staff
as labor negotiators (Cynthia Haas, Deputy City Manager, Julie Clark, Human
Resources Director, Cheri Abbot, Human Resources Manager and Carol Mercer,
Segal Company). If circumstances necessitate the absence of a specified
designated representative, an agent or designee may participate in place of the
absent representative so long as the name of the agent or designee is announced at
an open session held prior to the closed session.
RECONVENE:
The Council reconvened at 2:04 p.m. with ail members present. Mayor Hall announced that the
Council heard the report and directed staff regarding the matter.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of May 29, 2012, was adjourned at 2:05 p.m.
