MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: September 18, 2012
TIME OF MEETING: Immediately following the adjournment of the
Special Meeting
PLACE OF MEETING: Planning Library, Faraday Administration Building,
1635 Faraday Avenue, Carlsbad, California
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 1:35 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas, Packard .
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM:
None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 1:37 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956.9(c). To hold a closed session to consider
initiation of litigation against the County of San Diego, pursuant to subdivision (c).
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54956,9(a). To hold a closed session to discuss
pending litigation by the CCEA.
RECONVENE:
The Council reconvened at 2:42 p.m. with all members present. Mayor Hall announced that the
City Council directed the City Attorney in ways it felt to be in the best interest of the citizens of
Carlsbad, but no final action was taken on these matters and they will be reported at a future
meeting when final action occurs.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of September 18, 2012 was adjourned at 2:44 p.m.
