MEETING OF: CARLSBAD CITY COUNCIL (Special Meeting)
DATE OF MEETING: November 27, 2012
TIME OF MEETING: 3:00 p.m.
PLACE OF MEETING: City Hall Conference Room 3,1200 Carlsbad Village Drive,
Carlsbad, California
CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hall called the meeting to order at 3:00 p.m.
ROLL CALL was taken by the Deputy City Clerk, as follows:
Present: Council Members Hall, Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas, Packard.
Absent: None.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEM: None.
CLOSED SESSION:
Council adjourned into Closed Session at 3:02 p.m. pursuant to the following:
1. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957. To hold a closed session to discuss the process of
appointing a new City Attorney for the City of Carlsbad. City's consultant, William Avery of Avery
Associates will participate by phone.
2. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957. To hold a closed session to discuss and consider the
evaluation of the City Attorney.
3. GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957. To hold a closed session to discuss and consider the
evaluation of the Interim City Manager.
RECONVENE:
The Council reconvened at 4:38 p.m. with five members present. Mayor Hall announced that Council
directed the City Attorney in ways it felt was in the best interests of the City and its citizens but took no final
action. Final action when taken will be reported out at a subsequent meeting.
ADJOURNMENT:
By proper motion, the Special Meeting of November 27, 2012 was adjourned at 4.40 p.m.
