CALL TO ORDER:5:33 p.m.
ROLL CALL:Wood, Schumacher, Blackburn, Packard (Hall —Absent).
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS:None.
City Manager Kevin Crawford welcomed the students to the last session and graduation
ceremony of the Fall 2016 Citizens' Academy and thanked them for their participation.
A City Council question and answer discussion panel was held and citizens'questions were
answered by council members.
Council members presented Citizens' Academy Completion Certificates to graduates.
Council members excused themselves from the meeting at 6:10 p.m.
A recess was declared at 6:20 p.m.The Academy reconvened at 6:29 p.m.
A presentation regarding the Carlsbad Unified School District was given by Assistant
Superintendent Rob Nye.
Community Volunteer Coordinator Marie Jones-Kirk explained volunteer opportunities within
the city.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Special Meeting of October 27, 2015 was adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
