ROLL CALL: K. Blackburn, M. Schumacher, C. Schumacher, M. Packard (M. Hall -Absent}.
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
Administrative Secretary Leticia Reyes welcomed the students to the last session and graduation
ceremony of the Fall 2017 Citizens Academy and thanked them for their participation.
Housing & Neighborhood Services Director Debbie Fountain and Community Services Manager
Marie Jones-Kirk provided a presentation on Community Partnerships & Engagement and
explained the volunteer opportunities available within the city.
A recess was declared at 6:33 p.m. The Academy reconvened at 6:44 p.m.
Chief Operations Officer Marisa Lundstedt led a City Council question and answer discussion
panel and citizens' questions were answered by the Council Members.
The Council Members presented Citizens Academy Completion Certificates to graduates.
The Council Members excused themselves from the meeting at 7:23 p.m.
ADJOURNMENT:
The Special Meeting of November 9, 2017 was adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
