ROLL CALL: Hall, Blackburn, Bhat-Patel, Schumacher, Hamilton
PUBLIC COMMENT ON AGENDA ITEMS: None.
City Manager Scott Chadwick welcomed the students to the Spring 2019 Citizens' Academy.
Manager Chadwick introduced the Mayor and ·members of the City Council to the class. Each
Council Member gave opening comments and expressed their support of the students for taking
the time to attend the Academy.
City Manager Chadwick and City Attorney Celia Brewer gave a presentation on the role of the
City manager and City Attorney and the legal foundations of government.
City Clerk Barbara Engleson and City Clerk Services Manager Sheila Cobian provided an overview
of the services and resources offered by the City Clerk and Records Management offices.
Assistant City Manager Gary Barberio gave a presentation relating to the City Council goals.
Administrative Secretary Shelby Nelson thanked the residents for attending the academy.
