Foundation for Carlsbad Community
Cable Television
July 7, 1983
The first meeting of the Foundation for Carlsbad Community Cable Television
came to order at 7:lO PM on July 7, 1983 by general consensus of the members.
The meeting was held at the Carlsbad Cablevision facility on El Camino Real.

John Brinker - Carlsbad Cablevision
Mr. Acone led a general discussion on the background of public access cable TV
and the realities of programming for local consumption.
5,700 customers with about 60% penetration; Rancho La Costa Cable TV has about
4,200 customers with about 90% penetration of homes passed.

The foundation members discussea in general, the purpose of the foundation and
how they would achieve their goals. It was agreed that the foundation should
meet every two weeks for the near future. The next meeting will be held at
5:3O PM on July 21, 1983 at Carlsbad Cablevision. Officers will be elected
at that time.
