This discussion began at 5:50 PM. Bob Lucas gave a brief report on the recommendations he received from the Certi- fication Subcommittee. Mr. Lucas reported that the operators will provide equipment, staff and facilities. There will not be training set up for everyone interested in doing a production. The operators will be using student interns to operate the cameras. Mr. Lucas suggested that perhpas he could set up orientation sessions with people who wish to produce a program to give them help but not technical training. - Nancy Little told the group that the cable operators have met and decided to print a pamphlet to be distributed to the cable subscribers explaining, in laymen's terms, how to apply for access channel programming, grants, and some general information on what the access channel is. In this way, the operators feel they can "spread the word" to the general public and perhaps generate some interest. Bob Lucas will have a program for orientation of interested people set up to go in January, 1984. Roger Greer told the group that a draft budget will be ready for review at the next meeting . The next meeting will be January 5, 1983 in the cablevision offices at 5720 El Camino Real.
