HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-12-13; Community Television Foundation; MinutesFOUNDATION FOR CARLSBAD COMMUNITY CABLE TELEVISION 1200 ELM AVENUE CARLSBAD, CA 92008 - 1989 MINUTES OF MEETING OF DECEMBER 13, 1984 The meeting was called to order by Vice President Sheppard in the absence of the President, Bill Dominguez. Members Present: Robert Sheppard, Sharon Strong, William Levinson, Nancy Little John Brinker, Bob Lucas City Staff: Roger Greer Guests : Mrs. Robert Sheppard, Mrs. William Levinson, Mrs. Roger Greer Mr. Levinson made a motion to approve the minutes of the November 1st meeting. Nancy Little seconded the motion. Mr. Sheppard noted a correction before approval on page 2. The word, nomination, should be changed to motion in the first paragraph. (Change made and copy of corrected page 2 attached) Motion passed - unanimously with change notation. There were no subcommittee reports. There was no old business. NEW BUSINESS: Grant application from the Carlsbad Girls' Club for the Carlsbad Youth Theatre's production of Hansel and Gretel was reviewed. Little made a motion to approve the grant in the full amount requested. Mr. Levinson seconded the motion and the vote to approve was unanimous. After a short discussion, Nancy Roger Greer announced that the two cable television companies are in the process of a service evaluation by the City of Carlsbad as a part of their respective franchise agreements. Mr. Harold Horn of CTIC Associates has been hired by the city to do this evaluation. Mr. Horn will be holding a public forum for citizens to air any complaints regarding cable television on Thursday, December 20, 1984 in the city Council Chambers from 3:OO PM to 5:OO PM and again from 6:30 PM to 8:OO PM. The next meeting will be January 3, 1985 at Carlsbad Cablevision. Mr. Levinson made a motion to adjourn. Strong and carried by a unanimous vote. The motion was seconded by Sharon
