CALL, TO ORDER:
The Meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m. by Chairman McCoy.
DESIGN REVIEW E3OARD (Special Meeting)
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE was led by Chairman McCoy.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Chairman McCoy, Menbers Rod3otiS, Schlehuber, Marcus and Holmes.
Absent: None.
Staff Mars Present:
Chris Salmne, Comnity Redevelopment Manager Charles Grim, Principal Planner
NEW PUBLIC HEARING:
1. RP/CUP 84-4 GASTELUY - Request for approval of a
Redevelopent Permit to mnvert a house to a restaurant at 3055 Harding Street.
Chris Salomne, Comnunity Redevelopnent Manager, gave the presentation on this item as mntained in the staff
report, using wall maps to shaw the site and the mlor scheme, and a chart shaving the final restroom
configuration.
Mr. Salomne stated this restaurant would be a "take-out" type of establishment and would include improvements at
the site. The site is in poor mndition at the present time, but will be hproved, with the structure at the rear to be removed.
Chairman McCoy pried the public hearing at 6:24 p.m. and issued the invitation to speak. speak on this item, the plblic testimony portion was closed.

Menher Schlehuber omrented on the parking being one space short and stated he would like to have that sort of information brought to his attention in the report.
Charles Grim, Principal Planner, Land Use Planning Department, stated at the time the packet went out the
parking was in mnformity. Subsequent to that, another set of plans was received, revising the square footage.
Staff was not mncerned with that additional square
footage, hawever.
M&r Schlehuber stated he wanted the parking space
listed as an issue and then noted that the Design Review
Board waived that.
Menher Holmes stated he had a problem, in that he felt the applicant was spending some mney and not getting too much in return architecturally. attractive building muld be obtained by adding some finishing touches to the outside of the building.

Chairman McCoy stated turning a house into a restaurant bothered him Sanewhat, but as long as it mt code, he
would not object to the project.

The Design Review Board adopted the following Resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 036, RECQIMENDING APP- OF A
REDEvEIxlEMENT PEWIIIT TO REMODEL AND CONVERT AN MISTING
RESIDENCE TO A RESTAURANT ON THE WSJC SIDE OF HARDING
STREET BJEWEEN ELM AVENUE AND QAK AVENUE.
ChairmanMcCoy stated the first oondition refers to A and
B and it is l~lw Exhibit C.
