The Meeting was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Chairman McCoy.
PLEDGE OF WIANCE was led by Chairman McCoy.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Chairman McCoy, Meribers RMIJ30tis, Holmes, Marcus and Schlehuber.
Absent: None.

2. FtP 84-1 - !!MI3 INNS - Request for a Redevelopment Permit to refurbish the Twin Inns restaurant, construct
163 hotel units and 11,025 square feet of retail space on property surrounded by Carlsbad Boulevard, Elm Avenue, Grand Avenue and Washington Street in Subarea 5 of the V-R me.
Menher Rombotis stated he would not participate in the discussion on this item.
Menber Schlehuber asked to be excused from the discussion on this item also.
Chris Salomne, Ccffrmunity Redevelopment Manager, gave the presentation on this item as contained in the staff report, using slides to show the Twin Inns as it exists
now, and to allow the Historical Society to express their cpinion about the proposed changes to the exterior of the building.
Mr. Salomone explained that the windows at the left front of the building will be replaced with mre rectangular windows; awnings will be placed on the
windows and an eating patio will be built on the front

Kip Mein, Architect, spoke about the changes and additions and felt the proposed changes were consistent with the original architecture.
Design Review Board axltinued this item until they have been given the elevations for all four sides.

the presentation on this item as aontained in the staff report .
Chairman McCay qxned the public hearing at 6:07 p.m. and issued the invitation to speak.
Mr. Aganza, 2246 Spruce, the applicant, stated he had reached an agreement for two parking spaces and had modified the mlors to be used on the building.
Mr. Salomme will review the lease.
Since no one else wished to speak on this matter, the
public hearing was closed at 6:13 p.m.

Redevelopment Manager to review the lease to substantiate parking spots are available and that the building be decorated approximately the same as sanples shown to the Board.
