CALL To ORDER:
The Meeting was called to order at 5:OO p.m. by
Chairman McCoy.
Because this was a continued public hearing the Pledge of Allegiance and other formalities were not necessary.

CONTINUED PUBLIC HEARING:
Chairman McCoy asked staff if they had any additional
recomndations regarding the Twin Inns.
stated there were no additional reccmnendations, and staff
is recamending approval of the project as sdmitted by the
applicant.
Chairman McCoy asked the applicant for any additional
informition and applicant offered to answer any questions.

Chairman McCoy opened the meeting for discussion.
Kay Christensen, 2802 Carlsbad Blvd. spoke in favor of the
project, showing an old brochure of the Twin Inns with every window different, and pointed out the building is not a set style because it has been altered over and over.
Member Holmes stated the French doors were okay on the
1-r level, asked that a pediment be added to them to
mtch the windows directly above them on the second floor, to tie the design together.
Mary Marcus ccmwnted there was no problem With using
wrought iron, and Member Holmes added that wrought iron was
used on Victorian homs, and a Victorian design should be
utilized.
Chairman McCoy asked that the awnings be shaped in the form
of a cupola, instead of round as indicated.

French style, to tie into the building style.

Since no one else wished to speak on this item, the
public testimony was concluded.

Member Holmes made amtion to accept the Twin Inns project with the follming changes;
Victorian design, a pediment be added to the French doors,
the French doors and matching windows on the lower level
match the second story windows directly above the French
doors, the light fixtures be a Victorian oblong shape,
and the canopy and awnings be shaped like a cupola instead
of round.

by the Design Review Board.
Marty Grenyak asked if a design showing the revisions could
be suhnitted to the Board for approval without the necessity
of the Board reconvening.
