COMMISSIONER REPORTS:
Chairman Bizieff stated that there was no new information to report on the Rancho Carrillo Master Plan
Committee.
Commissioner Jones reported on the Barrio Association and stated that a workshop has been scheduled for
June 6, 1996 at 7:OO p.m. in an effort to resolve some of the disharmony among the property owners
regarding the Barrio Master Plan. Many property owners are upset because one individual has stated that a
lot of properties will be "taken" by the City for a park in the Barrio. There will be a total of three workshops
which the public has been invited to attend.
Commissioner Valenti reported on the May 9th meeting of the Historical Society and stated that the meeting
was attended by several persons involved in the Carrillo Ranch project. It was a very informative meeting,
however Commissioner Valenti is concerned about the overall vision of the project. Council Member Finnila
explained that a committee has been formed which will approve a conceptual plan. Final decisions
regarding the Rancho Camllo site will be made by the City Council.
