Absent: None. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of the Regular Meeting held January 17, 1989, Lew is X were approved as presented. Mamaux X Pett i ne X Kulchin xx Larson X PUBLIC HEARING: 1 . AB #119 - CDP 88-7, 88-8, 88-9 AND 88-1 0 COASTAL DEVELOPMENT PERMITS FOR VILLAGE REDEVELOPMENT STREETSCAPE PROJECT. Chris Salomone, Housing and Redevelopment Director, gave the staff report as contained in the Agenda Bill, using a transparency to show the streetscape. In answer to Commission query regarding the offstreet parking, Mr. Sal omone stated that before the end of the year the parking lots should be completed and the Elm Avenue streetscape will not be started until they are comp 1 eted. Chairman Levis said that staff should continue to look into other areas downtown to continue the parking program to provide more off-street parking. Commissioner Kulchin said +hat the possibility of parking structures should be considered also. Mr. Salomone said a master plan for the Redevelopment Area is being done and that a recommendation will come forward to this Commission regarding the Redevelopment Manual, land use and parking, including park i ng structures. Chairman Lewis opened the Public Hearing at 6:44 p.m., and issued the invitation to speak. Since no one wished to speak on this matter, the Public Hearing was c 1 osed.
