• Income for rent will not cover expenses sufficiently, the County of San Diego
is providing a capitalized operating subsidy reserve to cover a shortfall;
• Start date, hopefully by July 2020 if all funding is secured;
• Assistance could be provided by the city purchasing land and leasing back to
the developer;
• Do Carlsbad residents receive priority?
• Wrap-around supportive services included;
• If funding runs out, will rent increase?
• If there is an increase, only 50% AMI units may increase to 60%;
• Question if two people can reside in a studio;
• Possibility of using some CDBG funds for project;
• There will be a property management office in each building;
• Parking will be on the first level, 1.2 spaces per unit;
• Questions regarding sign on property, its possibly the 2016 Planning
