The regular monthly meeting of the Library Commission of the City of Carlsbad
was held in the Library on Sept. 22, 1958* Present were Commissioners McCazm, Paoa,
Spivey, and walker, and Librarian Cole. Chairman MoCann called the meeting to order at
8iO5» The minutes of the July meeting were read & approved.
The problem of additional shelving was discussed. Dr. Spivey was asked to head a
committee to final a carpenter to take care of the shelving. Librarian Cole reported th
is about $200 available for material and labor.
Chairman MeCann noted the hibiscus and tree that had been planted.
The Commission feel it was important to send another letter to the City Council.
This letter would include a report on the somer activities of the Library*
The next commission meeting will be Oct. 27.
The meeting adjourned at 9tOO FM.
