The regular Monthly •••ting of th« Library Commission of th« City of
Carlsbad was held in the Children1* Library on March 9, 1959. Present were
Commissioners Prout, Richardson, Spiwy, Straus*, and Walker, and
Librarian Col*.
Chairman Spivey call«d the meeting to order at 7ti|0 and the mlnutos of the
lact MMting w«r« read and appro red as corrected.
Librarian Ool« reported that the Water Co. Building could t» remodeled
and an extra roan added for approximately t£000. Ikit MQT be considered in
n«xt years budget.
The Friends of the Library presented the story of the Kelly fasdly to
the Library for circulation. It was written by John felly.
Librarian Col* will prepare statistics on growth during th« past fow
•onths. This report will be included in th* infoxmatiT* letter Aieh Qkainaan
Spivey win write to the City Council.
