The regular monthly meeting of the Iibrary Commission of the
City of Carlsbad was held in the children's Library on October 5j 1959.
Present were Commisioners Spivey, Richardson, Strause, Walker, and
Librarian Cole. The meeting was called to order at 7rU5 by Chairman
Spivey. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
Chairman Spivey reported on a discussion he had had with Mr. Palkowski
regarding the future housing of the Library. Commissioner Strause stated
that Mr. Jenkins said the building plans went in on Sept. 28. She also
reported that the Water Co, «hould be out on Nov. 1, but not later than
Ncv. 15. The Commission felt it was imperative to have the bids go out as soon
as possible,
The Secretary was directed tc write a letter to Mr. Warren Boyce thanking
him and his student, Tony Clews, for drawing the plans.
The meeting adjourned at 8:35 F. M.
