The meeting of the Library Commission was called to
order at 7:35 P.M. Present were Commissioners Strause, Dr.
Spivey, Mrs. Dunne, Carr and Librarian Cole.
There was a general discussion of the budget, and the
proposed budget as adjusted is attached to ihe {minutes.
Lowell Richardson is slated to represent the Library
Commission at the Governor's Library Conference on April 7
and 8th.
The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m.

At a special meeting called on April 11, 1960, at 7:30 p.m.
all Library Commission members were present except Kay Dunne. Also
present were Librarian Cole and City Manager Slater.
Lowell Richardson mode a report on his attendance at ihe
Governor's Conference In Sacramento, and his reports are attached
hereto.
Librarian Cole and Lowell Richardson plan to attend the
meeting of ihe representatives of independent libraries In Downey on
April I3lh, and were authorized to join an association of Independent
libraries should ana be formed at the Downey meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
