was held August 8, I960, at 7:40 p.m. at the Children's
Library. All members of the commission were present:
Chairman Strauss, Dr. Spivey, Mrs. Dunne, Carr, Richardson
and Librarian Cole,
Mrs. Dunne gave the secretary-protem minutes, which were
approved.
Mrs. Cole presented members with a report of books loaned
etc, for months of May, June and July. A report on summer
statistics will be sent to the City Council. Mrs. Cole pre-
sented the final library budget (copy appended).
Richardson and Librarian Cole presented a discussion of
the Citizens for California Libraries and invited other members
to join as individuals.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m.
