The library Commission of the City of Carlsbad mot at the
Children's Library at 7:40 p.m. on February 13th, with Commissioners
Straus*, Spivey, Richardson and librarian Col* present.
The minutes woro road and approved. A motion was passed
to postpone election of officers of the commission for this /year
until a full board meets.
Mrs. Strause announced the coming meeting of the Carlsbad
Friends of the library. She also read a letter from the Downey
Friends of the Library telling about their third annual workshop to
be held February 23, 1961.
Or. Spivey reported that the commission had received library
plans from the State library.
The proposed City Ordinance was discussed.
The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
