8 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 1961, at the home of Commission Chair-
man Ann Strom** Present were Commissioners Strause, Sptvey, Dunne,
Carr, Richardson and librarian Cole,
Building plans from the State library were reviewed by the members
of the Commission. It was decided that the Librarian should make a further1
study of these plan* and file interesting item for later use. Chairman
Strouso requested all commission members to visit other libraries whenever
possible to study building plans, etc.
It was decided that the Commission should wait for the 30 days
after the second reading of the Library Ordinance before an additional
study of library problems should be made* The Commission unanimously
approved a morion to continue the present officers of the Commission in
their posts until July.
Commissioner Carr wot asked to discuss bookkeeping systems with
Finance Director Ralph Seholtnk.
There was a discussion of the State Library Aid Bill, after which a
unanimous vote opposing Hie bill was taken. Commission member Lowell
Rirharoxtt wot asked to be present at the City Council Meeting on March 21
when the Library Aid Sill may be discussed*
The meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
