The Library Commission of the City of Carlsbad met at
8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 3, 1961, at Hit Children1! Library.
Preterit were Commissioners Strause, Spivey, Dunn*, Carr, Rich-
ardfon and Librarian Cola,
The minutes were read and approved.
Commissioner Richardson reported that on March 21st
the Carlsbad City Council unanimously passed a resolution against
the State Library Aid Bill.
The Library budget for the next fiscal year was studied.
The overall proposed budget is the same as the current year. Only
major change is the building fund Is down to $3,000 from $4,000
and book purchases up to $8,000 from $7,000. (Note: $8,000 was
budgeted for books two years ago, and $8,000 was requested last
year but it was dropped to $7,000).
The meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
