HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-06-10; Library Board of Trustees; MinutesJune 10, 1963 The regular monthly meeting of the Board ©f Library Trustees was called to order at 7*15 p.m. on June 10, 1963, in the Children*3 Library on Harding Street* Present were President Merkle, Trustees HcCarn, Spivey, Carr, and Kamptner, and Librarian Cole* The secretary read the minutes, which were approved as read* A discussion of the financing of the library followed. Mrs, Cole, the librarian, emphasized that there is not one iota of shelf apace left in the library, and something mist be done immediately to alleviate the situation. There was & general discussion about the condition of the present libraries* It was moved by Dr« Spivey that Drt Merkle, president of the Board, will visit the City Manager and point out to him the urgency of expediting the building of the new library* The motion was seconded, voted on, and passed* The mooting was adjourned at Si15 p*s» Jean D, Ramptner Secretary COPY
