The meeting was called to order by President Sheffler at
8:2£ p.m.
The .minutes of the regular June l"i meeting were read and
approved.

REPORTS
Landscaping— It was reported that the City Manager
had not' contacted the City Parks employee to proceed for,
apparently, no funds have been allocated for this pro-
ject. Trustees Sheffler, Stauber, and Wrench will meet
with the City Kanager in order to expedite this matter.
Schedule for Manpower Assigned by the City to Provide
Janitorial Service for the Library— At present, two
men are meant to work twice a week to vacuum the inside
and maintain the exterior of the building j it was
suggested that the maintenance of the glass patios be
included in their schedule.
Also discussed nas the possibility of asking a ser-
vice charge for use of the conference room and the
kitchen. Trustee Sheffler will contact the City Manager
regarding these matters.
NEW BUSINESS
Election of officers of the Board for the coming year
resulted in Mrs. Gary Wrench. being elected President
ard -Angelo Carli Secretary-Treasurer.
Continued service in the Children's ard Junior High's
section of t1 e library in the evening after the Fall
semester begins was discussed. It was decided to
close this section after 6:00 p.m., due to the unavail-
ability of volunteer help to supervise. '_ '.
The president reported that pending legislatign" extending
provisions of the Brown Act could affect Board meetings.
The librarian reported that the Summer Reading Program
has registered UUl children.
The meeting was adjourned, at 9*.U$ p.m.
