REPORTS
Librarian—Mrs. Cole dis tributed to each Board
member a copy of the Annual Report, 1967-68.
She also reported that the circulation for
August, 1968 was1336Q as compared to last year's
9195 for the same period.
Landscape—President Wrench reported that nothing
has been done since the previous report. She
has spoken to the City Manager and was informed
that the City will not' let the entire contract
at one time. It will be pieced out. Mrs. Wrench
also spoke to Mr. Martin about the stairs which
lead from the Library to the City Hall. It is
the opinion of the Board and the Librarian that
they are dangerous and prohibitive. A number'
of comments to this effect expressed by visitors
during the City Hall dedication ceremonies support
this opinion. Mr. Martin indicated that there webe
three alternatives available: remove the steps
entirely, add railing, or add a landing halfway
up.
Mrs. Wrench also took this opportunity to invite
Mr. Martin to the meetings of the Board of Trustees
but his schedule makes it extremely difficult
for him to accent at this time.
