the landscaping project.
The new Indian exhibit from the Museum of Man and the
reception held in the library Sunday, December 7, were
wll received. It is anticipated that the Museum staff
•will plan to present three exhibits per year at the
Carlsbad Library.

a five or ten-year plan for orderly expansion of the
library program in orri^"* that it may keep pace with
the population growth ^.^icipated by the City Council.

The library is in need of a Business Section to take
care of reference needs of local business people.
About $2000 has been allotted for shelving but an
additional $5000 is needed to purchase a basic refer-
ence collection. Mrs. Cole suggested that the Board
of Trustees might want to approach the new Burroughs
Corp. with the idea that the company might finance
such a collection. The collection may be called.
"Burroughs Business Collection".
Trustees Hill and Hickiethier were appointed to contact
the Burroughs Corp. about its financing a business
collection for the library. It was felt that January

interview.

on a long range study of library needs. Mrs. Cole
will work with them.
