Cole reminded the board that the October 12 meeting falls on a holiday and that an alternate date should be set up. There will be a. (All long ^dstance phone calls are paid for by the Serra system) Stealing is a major problem in this library as well as others. A college boy to supervise the front door whenever the library is open, is another budget need, The library personnel agree that closing of the west door t6 the public would help prevent loss of books since there is no monitor there. The book budget needs to be increased considerably to merely keep pace with growth and crowded shelving conditions require an expenditure for new book stacks* '•^he Board agreed that a more specific outline of budget needs was necessary and members agreed to meet next Monday, March 15th, at 8:00 ^.M. Meeting closed at 10:20 P.M. Respectfully submitted. Anita Donahue, ^ecretary
