WATER DISTRICT, HELD ON AUGUST 10, 1977, AT 2:OO P.M., AT 5950 EL CAMINO REAL, CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA:
The meeting was called to order at 2:05 P.M. by President MacLeod with Director Maerkle , Kelly, MacLeod and Uhl inger answering roll call. Director Engelmann k
absent. Also present were Assistant General Manager Henley, Legal Counsel Swir District Engineer Kubota, Public Relations Consultant Mitchell , Finance Officer Wilda Simpson and Office Secretary. Proposed Budget Copies of the budget were distributed tc Fiscal 1977-78 Board and staff members and Manager Hen1 suggested they read the letter of Introt before getting into discussion of the items in the budget. There were only a 1 items that required further explanation to the Board and these were satisfacto,
handled by Mrse Simpson and Messrs. Henley and Kubota. Discussion followed on
establishing the tax rates. Director Maerkle made a motion to adopt the total
for the fiscal year 1977-78, seconded by Director Kelly and unanimously carriec

Assembly Bill 1931 President MacLeod read a bulletin on As

for the need to write to Sacramento aga the current requirement to cover open reservoirs. Discussion followed and Eng
Kubota is gathering facts to present at a later meeting.

Public Relations Public Relations Consultant Mitchell in the Board that Gil Duran will represent at the next meeting due to his trip to Sacramento.
