The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hunting-ton at 7*^5

The regular order of business i?aa postponed while Councilman Helton
and Mrs. Fry, on behalf of the Boy and Girl Scouts of Carlsbad, presented
a proposal that the Scout committee purchase the vacant portion of the
Kru-'er property east of the Park on Lureka St. They wanted to know
the Con-mission's reaction to moving the prou-ant Scout House on aim St.
to this location as their nov; ho^ne. There was considerable diacusalon
on this and the Commission approved this action foolin,:: that it v/ould
help centralize cortununity activities in the P&rk area without unduly
jeopardizing futiire Perk expansion.

Kaoroation; There was discussion as to whose responsibility it

will contact Mr. Felt this week to try and arrive at a settlement

Coirmiisslon sent a recommendation to the City Council that the entire
Kruger property remaining at this time, including the house, be acquired
by the City for future park purposes and if this is riot possible to

representative of V.hitnall Associates Planning consultants should meet

NBfr BUSINESS; Chairman Himtrlrijrton presented his resignation as
chairman in view of increased business activities, but since no or.a
