CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Schulberg called the Regular Meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Chairman Schulberg, Commissioners Baker, Cunningham, Richards, Davidson,
and Pieratt
Absent: Commissioner Cox
Staff Members Present:
Dave Bradstreet, Director, Community Services
Keith Beverly, Senior Management Analyst
Ken Price, Recreation Superintendent
Doug Duncanson, Park Superintendent
Jim Bradshaw, Recreation Supervisor

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ken Price, Recreation Superintendent, announced that the Poinsettia Park Phase I Dedication
will take place on January 18,1997 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Pieratt, the Minutes of the
Regular Meeting held on November 18,1996, were approved
as printed.
AYES: Chairman Schulberg, Commissioners Baker, Cunningham, Richards,
Davidson, and Pieratt
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Cox

APPROVAL OF AGENDA
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Baker, the Agenda for December 16,1996
was approved as printed.

CONSENT CALENDAR
1. AB #1296-1 DIRECTOR'S REPORT
To accept and file the Director's Report for December 1996.
2. AB #1296-2 SUMMARY REPORT
To approve, accept and file the Summary Report of the November 1996 Parks and
Recreation Commission Meeting.
3. AB #1296-3 RECEIPT OF DONATIONS
To receive donations of cash in merchandise totaling $3,600 in support of youth
basketball program and youth baseball clinic.
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Baker, Items AB #1296-1, AB #1296-2, and
AB #1296-3 of the Consent Calendar for December 16,1996 were
approved.

Davidson, and Pieratt
NOES: None

DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
4. AB #1296-4 ANNUAL ELECTION OF PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION
CHAIRPERSON AND VICE CHAIRPERSON
ACTION: After nomination and a vote by the Commission, on motion by
Commissioner Richards, Commissioner Baker was elected Chairperson,
and Commissioner Davidson was elected Vice Chairperson of the Parks
and Recreation Commission.
AYES: Chairman Schulberg, Commissioners Baker, Cunningham, Richards,
Davidson, and Pieratt
NOES: None

ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Richards to adjourn the Regular Meeting at
6:10 P.M. to the Annual Holiday Party at the Senior Center.
