!€'ION NO. 50, continued - To consider a zone change: Yrom R-1 to R-P (Included is reclassification ap- i blication submitted by Maurice S. Baird), on pro- i Perty fronting on Arbuckle Place between Jeffer- ; :son and Madison. I
the Chairman declared the hearing open and announcb pd the Commission would now hear from those present who were in favor of this reclassification. I I
bLEN CHEADLE, 2820 Madison Street, inquired if Ithis resolution of intention was denied, would Mr.: Baird's request be denied also, and the City At= : gorney informed him that it would be treated as bne application. I I
h. CHEADLE stated that he is in favor of this koning as it will have a beneficial effect on the i property, It is difficult for anyone to do much : pith the property under the present zoning. I

iPointsdiscussed were the jog in the street on the iBuell property on the Northeast corner of Madison i :and Arbuckle; that the dedication of the property: jfor street right of way should be made prior to :the reclassification; that upon dedication of the.! jstreet widening on Arbuckle for this property the: :front yard setback could be reduced to 12' on eacli jlot from the street property line; whether the i :property owners should receive compensation for ; jtheir property. I
!It was the general consensus that the Commission I :should act upon Mr. Baird's property since his : :application had been in the approximately two I !months. '
!After further discussion, a motion was made to jadopt Resolution No. 362 recommending reclassifi- I :cation of Maurice S. Baird's property from R-1 to ; {R-P subject to his granting 8' dedicated street i :right of way.on the South side of Arbuckle Place : jfor the following reasons: I
