!the City would be best served by the overpass as i ii t would be for the overall benefit of the City i jand public, while Harrison Street would only bene4 :fit the property Owners in that block. !Mr. Parker stated that he would participate along i jwith all the other property owers, however the i iRombotis' are not in agreement. He reported I ;talking to them briefly and would talk to them agdin.
!Mr. Thornton presented a map and explained that : :Harrison only serves a small portion of the lagood, !while Adam will be serving a greater area. I !Harrison is difficult to improve because of the i :topography. The future traffic needs will be b I !greater on Adams Ave.

He ! :pointed out that it would be a better route to tak:e :property for street improvements rather than havir@ ia street go'ng down through parcels and dividing : ithem. I
$lr. John Gamble stated that no matter how fast f jthey build freeways, they will always be 10 years : :behind. They will consider wldening the freeway i !again before it is completed.
:There was considerable discussion on the develop- i :merit of this area and the widening of the streets;; :Del Nebb Ocean House type motels; that more com- i jmercial zoning in that art?a would be undesirable; : :that a committee be appointed to study this and i !a report be made by the Planning Director and Engineering Department.
