3. Resolution 1088, Variance-242, Michael Straub
It was decided the date shown in C.U.P. and Variancc
Resolutions should reflect the date adopted by the
Commission. Commissioner Wrench moved to adopt
Resolution 1088, to allow creation of two panhandle
lots and that further reading of this resolution be
waived.
4. Resolution 1087, C.U.P.-99, St. Patricks Church
This resolution will allow construction of a church mu1 ti purpose. center and rectory on a 1.9 acre site.

C. C. Bryan, indicating the palm trees should not bc

Chairwoman Casler advised the Commission and Staff that Commissioner Barrett is moving from Carlsbad and has submitted his resignation. She asked the staff to take appropriate action to prepare resolution and plaque.

staff report and recommendations. The Staff recommend! that the Specific Plan be continued until September 24
1974 so that the applicant can meet the requirements
of the Public Facilities Policy. Mr. Ladwig of Rick Engineering Company, representing the applicant, agreec with the Staff recommendation. Public hearing was closed. Motion was then made to continue this case to September 24, 1974 per staff recommendation.
I (b) CASE NO. EIR-248, SP-116 and CT 73-2, SANTA FE GLENS
Director Agatep presented Staff report and recommenda- tions. The Staff recommends that the public hearinq fc Specific Plan #116 and EIR #248 (CT 73-2) be continied for four weeks to September 24, 1974, to allow the applicant time to comply with the City's Public Facilities Policy.
Public hearing was closed. Motion was then made to COI tinue this case to September 24, 1974.

Director Agatep presented Staff report and recommenda-
tion. He recommended approval of the Tentative Map for
the reasons that it.conforms to the adopted General Plan and complies to the Subdivision Map Act. He stated all requirements and policies of the City had been met. Motion was made to ad,opt Resolution
approving CT-73-12 for the reasons and with the con-
ditions set forth in Staff report dated August 27, 1971
(b) CITY-OWNED PROPERTY CA-1
Director Agatep presented Staff report and recommenda-
tions. He stated the City owned 2.9 acres on the
northerly boundary of Appian Road. It is recommended that it be sold for $24,000. Coriunissioner Wrench suggested the Commission be allowed time to study this item. A motion was made to approve Resolution 1090 as
offered by Staff.

After discussion by the Commission, it was then moved to continue this item to the meeting of September 10,
1974, for investigation and to include Appraisal in the
packet for the subject property; also, a map showing
the property as it relates to surrounding properties.

The Commission discussed the Land Use Element Report and accepted it and entered it into the record as part of the overall report
for the City Council when it goes back to Council. A minute .. motion was made to accept this report.
The Planning Director briefly discussed a Planning and Education brochure that was included in Planning Commission packet. """"""""_""""""""""""""""""""""""
