Mr. Steve Bieri, 11300 Sorrento Valley Jtlad, f101,
spake in q,poeitim to the Specific Plan, giving a
brief hiista:y. He said he realized the City
did not 11m1t high density in this area, but he
beli~ the City had gone too far in the opposite
direction. He felt this was an overkill of design
Imitation, ~ said the applicant wanted to be
creative.

located oo the south side of Tamaradt Avenue, 120 feet
east of Garfield Street.
Bill Boman Principal Planner, gave the presentation
on this item as oontained in the staff report, using a
transparency showing the site. He used a wall chart to
show the prqxl&ed project and stated staff was
rea:aaending denial, due to the traffic inpact, and the
nauowness of the lot. 'ffle pt'Oject ireets the standards
of R-3, but oot at the high end of the density.
In answer to quecy, staff suggested the project start
at the llrl.n1-20 units per acre.
Cclllnissimer Farrow asked about the parking, and was
told aam! spaces '°-lld be difficult to get into. He
also felt the mrrioor effect a, the drivevll"f should be
adckeesed, and suggested adding landscaping at the
entrance to treak that effect. 6e ooncluded, stating

Bill Bofllan added that a, this type of lot it is
