CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner Wood called the Regular Meeting to order at 1:15 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Present: Commissioners Wood, O’Connell, Ricker, Savary and West
Absent:
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIENCE
Led by Commissioner Savary.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
None.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
ACTION: On motion by Commissioner Savary, the Minutes of the
Regular meeting held on November 6, 2003 were approved.
AYES: Commissioners Wood, O’Connell, and West
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: Commissioner Ricker
ABSENT: None
PRESENTATIONS
None.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
ACTION: On motion by Commisioner Ricker, the Agenda for
December 4, 2003 was approved.
AYES: Commissioners O’Connell, Savary, West and Wood
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
CONSENT CALENDAR
Motion was made by Commissioner Savary and unanimously approved to accept
the consent calendar.

DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS
1. AB #1203-1 PATIO FURNITURE FOR SENIOR CENTER COURTYARD
By a 4 to 1 vote, the Commission accepted Commissioner Wood’s fact-finding
investigation for the replacement of the patio furniture. Staff will investigate
cost. The Commission was in agreement that the furniture would be
purchased after completion of the patio remodel under the discretion of staff.
ACTION: A motion was made by Peggy Savary to accept the fact-
finding investigation for the replacement of patio furniture.

ACTION: By proper motion, the Regular Meeting of December 4, 2003
was adjourned at 2:00 p.m. January’s regularly scheduled
meeting January 1, 2004, is a holiday. Commission took
action to reschedule meeting for January 8, 2004.

ACTION
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Accept report of Commissioner Wood's fact-finding investigation for the replacement of the
patio furniture and to direct staff accordingly.
ITEM EXPLANATION:
At the October 2, 2003 meeting the Commission felt there was a need to replace the patio
furniture in the courtyard. The existing furniture is over 13 years old and is in need of
replacement. In November, Recreation Area Manager, Lori Swenck reported back to the
Commission on a variety of alternatives and prices. After discussing the different
alternatives, it was determined that more research was needed. Commissioner Wood
offered to investigate and see if he could find something that would be comparable to the
existing furniture and to report back to the Commission with his findings.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Fiscal impact cannot be determined at this time.
