1. Johnny's House of Glass - Request for green curb.
Lorraine Rosas, 2680 State Street, owner of Johnny's House (
Glass, addressed the Commission stating cars park in front
of their place of business and so close to the edge of the
driveway that cars cannot turn into the driveway. She
requested green curbing in front of their business to allow
customers to drop off the glass or pick up items. She statt
their business is a service business and relies on quick
access for the customers. She commented about the narrownet
of the driveway to the rear of the shop, and with the
limited space for turning into the driveway, it is almost
impossible for anyone to use that driveway to reach the
parking at the rear of the building.
Discussion followed, with staff indicating there is some
green curbing across the street, and they have not been
able to find authorization for that curbing.
Traffic Safety Commission requested staff paint red curbings
on each end of the driveway to allow access.
