Approval of Minutes
The Minutes of the January 4, 1984 meeting were approved as presented.

the westside of the street
The Committee recommended denying this request. not have the manpower to enforce a 10 to 20 minute parking restriction. Police Sgt. Shipley will visit each business and request all employees to park in the back parking lot.
The Police Department does
Since there are adequate pedestrian sidewalks or asphalt walkways on the northside of the street, and it would cost $193,000 to fully improve the street, the Committee recommends denying this request. The Committee
recommends instal 1 ing raised pavement markers along the pedestrian walkway
on the north side of the street, from the school to Highland Avenue.
Pi0 Pic0 & Las Flores - Request for a 4-Way Stop and Crosswalks
Warrants for a 4-Way Stop are not met at this location. There is an adult
crossing guard on duty during appropriate hours. Review of the report of
the accident referred to in the school principal's letter shows that the
crossing guard was on duty at the time, and that the car involved was going
at a slow rate of speed. Resolution of the problem involves training the
children in proper pedestrian safety measures. Police Sgt. Paul Childers will make an "Officer Friendly" presentation on school safety. The
Committee recommended denying the request for a 4-Way Stop.
Palomar Airport Road & Oak Communication Systems# Entrance -
Request for a Left Turn Pocket
The Committee recommended denying this request from Hughes Aircraft, the
new owner of the building.
