Approval of Minutes The Minutes of the January 4, 1984 meeting were approved as presented. 2900 Carlsbad Blvd - Request for 10 to 20 Minute Parking Restriction on the westside of the street The Committee recommended denying this request. not have the manpower to enforce a 10 to 20 minute parking restriction. Police Sgt. Shipley will visit each business and request all employees to park in the back parking lot. The Police Department does Since there are adequate pedestrian sidewalks or asphalt walkways on the northside of the street, and it would cost $193,000 to fully improve the street, the Committee recommends denying this request. The Committee recommends instal 1 ing raised pavement markers along the pedestrian walkway on the north side of the street, from the school to Highland Avenue. Pi0 Pic0 & Las Flores - Request for a 4-Way Stop and Crosswalks Warrants for a 4-Way Stop are not met at this location. There is an adult crossing guard on duty during appropriate hours. Review of the report of the accident referred to in the school principal's letter shows that the crossing guard was on duty at the time, and that the car involved was going at a slow rate of speed. Resolution of the problem involves training the children in proper pedestrian safety measures. Police Sgt. Paul Childers will make an "Officer Friendly" presentation on school safety. The Committee recommended denying the request for a 4-Way Stop. Palomar Airport Road & Oak Communication Systems# Entrance - Request for a Left Turn Pocket The Committee recommended denying this request from Hughes Aircraft, the new owner of the building.
