Approval of Minutes The minutes of the February 25, 1985 meeting were approved as presented. Corte Del Nogal and Corte Del Abeto - request for a 4-way Since the warrants for a 4-way stop are not met, the eom- mittee recommends ' denial of this request. Camino Vida Roble between El Camino Real and Palomar Airport Road - request for a reduced speed limit zone. The Committee recommends lowering the speed limit on Camino Vida Roble from 45 M.P.H. to 40 M.P.H. because of the poor sight distance at the side streets and the driveways. El Camino Real between Hosp Way and Highway 78 - request for a 35 M.P.H. speed zone and speed reduction sign for northbound traffic south of Hosp Way. It is the recommendation of the Committee to reduce the speed limit in this area from 55 M.P.H. to 35 M.P.H. Also install a Reduced Speed Ahead sign on El Cdmino Real south of Hosp Way for northbound traffic. stop. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS Rancho Santa Fe Road between La Costa Avenue and Cadencia - request to widen and stripe a second northbound lane. Rancho Santa Fe Road is not wide enouqh to install three traffic lanes. Staff is checking into the possibility of forming an assessment district in this area to install the improvements on the south side of the street. Staff has issued a work order to Utilities Maintenance to install 750' of guard rail in this area. 3. Paseo Del Norte near Elder Court - request for a crosswalk. Because of curves on Paseo Del Norte and poor sight distance, staff recommends denial of this request. OFF AGENDA ITEM 1. Alga Road between El Camino Real and El Fuerte - request to change the speed limit. Since all the street improvements are in on Alga Road, staff re-evaluated the speed limits on Alga Road. The Committee recommended to wait until six months after the improvements have been installed to check the accident record in this area.
