ENGINEERING CONFERENCE ROOM MINUTES MEMBERS PRESENT: MEMBERS ABSENT: Roger Greer OTHERS PRESENT: Sgt. APPROVAL OF MINUTES The minutes of the April 15, 1985 meeting were approved as presented. JEFFERSON AND MAGNOLIA - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL SIGNING Because of the poor sight distance, the Cornittee recommended removing the palm tree in front of the stop sign. Installing a stop ahead sign and pavement marking was also recommended. RANCHO SANTA FE ROAD - VARIOUS COMPLAINTS Because of the new lower 45 mph speed limit on Rancho Santa Fe Road, the Committee recommended denial to prohibit left turns on Cadencia and no change in the traffic movements at Rancho Santa Fe Road and Camino Alvaro. LEVANTE AND ROMERIA - SPEEDING CARS AND A REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC CONTROL The Cornittee recommended to install a stop sign on Romeria at Levante and request the Pol ice Department to continue to enforce the speed 1 imit. WESTHAVEN AND SKYLINE/PARK - REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL TRAFFIC CONTROL After a field trip review of the intersection, the Commlttee requested staff come back with some different striping proposals of this inter- section. LEVANTE STREET - SPEEDING CARS The Comnittee recommended installing a stop sign on Calle Madero and Nueva Castilla at Levante and request the Police Department to continue to enforce the speed limit.
