Subject: Equipment Labeling Evaluation of a modified GE Switchboard located at the
Poinsettia Pump Station, 2324 Poinsettia Lane, Carlsbad, CA 92009.

Dear Mr. Kelly:
This letter is to advise you that Electro-Test, Inc. (ETI) has been retained to perform an
equipment labeling evaluation of a modified GE Switchboard located at the Poinsettia Pump
Station, 2324 Poinsettia Lane, Carlsbad, CA 92009.
We visited the job site between 6/30/98 and 7/10/98 to visually examine the equipment and
found it to be generally in conformance with applicable electrical standards. No discrepancies
were identified and the equipment has been labeled. ETI Label Number L204807
The nameplate on the GE Switchboard Section has the following information: Job No 56786,
and is rated 600 amps, 600 VAC, 65 kAIC, 3 phase, 4 wire, 60 HZ.
The switchboard is installed in a pump house where the pump house door entrance frame is
too low to allow opening of the top portion of the switch board. This required that the top
doors be lowered 3 inches so that they could be opened and clear the door frame. A three
inch spacer was added at the top of the doors and a second three inch spacer added below
the doors to add as a barrier for the SDG&E service entrance. See photos included with this
letter. This was the only modification to the switchboard. No hardware changes were made to
the enclosed bus work or supports.
