CITY OF CARLSBAD
AGRICULTURAL CONVERSION MITIGATION FEE
AD HOC CITIZENS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
(ACMF COMMITTEE)
Subject: Announcement of Committee Member Appointments and Election of
a Vice Chairperson
Meeting Date: Nov. 7, 2011
Since the ACMF Committee’s last meeting on February 22, 2010, the City Council appointed two
new members to the ACMF Committee. The composition of the ACMF Committee includes one
Planning Commissioner and six Carlsbad residents-at-large. The two new committee members
fill the Planning Commissioner position and one resident-at-large position.
On March 9, 2010, the City Council appointed Craig Elliott to the ACMF Committee to fill one of
the committee’s resident-at-large positions, which was vacated by previous committee member
Irv Roston.
On Oct. 25, 2011, the City Council appointed Planning Commissioner Michael Schumacher to
serve as the Planning Commission member on the ACMF Committee. The committee’s Planning
Commissioner position was formerly held by Planning Commissioner Julie Baker; however
Baker’s term on both the Planning Commission and ACMF Committee expired in June 2011.
Prior to her departure, Baker served as vice chairperson of the ACMF Committee. Baker’s
departure from the ACMF Committee necessitates that the committee take action to appoint a
new vice chairperson.
Respectfully Submitted,
PLANNING DIVISION
