AGRICULTURAL CONVERSION MITIGATION FEE (ACMF)

Subject: Report on Committee Membership
Meeting Date: December 1, 2014
The ACMF Committee is comprised of seven Carlsbad residents, including six members at-large and one
Planning Commissioner. At present there are two vacancies on the Committee. A roster of the current
ACMF Committee is attached as Exhibit 4.1
One vacancy exists for an at-large seat, which was previously held by the late Richard Erhardt. The City
Clerk has been notified of this vacancy. The City Clerk will provide public notice of the vacancy and accept
applications from residents interested in filling the seat. Carlsbad residents interested in serving on the
ACMF Committee are encouraged to visit the City Clerk’s webpage at the following location for additional
information: http://www.carlsbadca.gov/cityhall/clerk/meetings/boards/default.asp. Information is also
available by phone at 760-434-2828.
The second vacancy exists for the Planning Commissioner seat formerly held by Council Member Michael
Schumacher. The Planning Commission will be notified of the Planning Commissioner vacancy on the
ACMF Committee and is expected to nominate a Planning Commissioner to serve on the Committee. The
Planning Commission’s nomination will subsequently be forwarded to the City Council for consideration.
Pursuant to Carlsbad Municipal Code Section 2.06.070, “The mayor, with the approval of the city council,
shall make all appointments to boards, commissions and committees with the exception of the planning
commission, and unless otherwise specifically provided by statute.”
