2 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CARLSBAD TOURISM BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT,
3 ALLOCATING CTBID GRANT FUNDING FOR 2016-17

5 WHEREAS,on March 18, 2008, the Board the Carlsbad Tourism Business
6 Improvement District (CTBID) established a grant program to fund programs and activities that
7 promote overnight stays in Carlsbad; and
8 WHEREAS, six organizations submitted applications for Fiscal Year 2016-17 CTBID
9 grant funds; and
10 WHEREAS,the VisitCarlsbad Board reviewed the applications and has made funding
11 recommendations to the CTBID Board for five organizations including the one identified below.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad
13 Tourism Business Improvement District,as follows:
14 1.That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2.That it hereby allocates funding to the following event in the following amount in
16 accordance with Grant Guidelines:

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Board of
