If Council concurs, your action is to adopt Resolution No. ?'rl o dedicating
Fire Station No. 4 located at Batiquitos Lane and Buttercup Road to 11 The
Firefighters of Carlsbad. 11
ITEM ~XPLANATION:
The fire department staff feels it appropriate to recognize the high quality of
service provided to the community by our firefighters since the City's
incorporation.
In addition to the Resolution, it is our intention to mount a bronze cast
plaque on an exterior wall next to the front entry of the fire station (see
attachment marked Exhibit 2 .
FISCAL IMPACT:
Cost for bronze cast plaque is $325.

1 RESOLUTION NO. 8810 ----
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA DEDICATING F.IRE STATION NO. 4
3 LOCATED AT BATIQUITOS LANE AND BUTTERCUP ROAD
4 WHEREAS, the City Council did consider a proposal to dedicate Fire
5 Station No. 4 to the Firefighters of Carlsbad.
6 WHEREAS, the Firefighters of Carlsbad have served the community
7 with dedication and professionalism since the City's incorporation; and
8 WHEREAS, because of theil-help in fire prevention, emergency medical
9 service, and life saving programs in schools and for the public; and
10 WHEREAS, because of their sense of concern and civic price;
, .... 11 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council·
12 of the City of Carlsbad, Ca Ii fornia, as follows:
13 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
14 2. That Fire Station No. 4 be dedicated as follows:
15 "Fire Station No. 411 11 Dedicated To The Firefighters of Carlsbad."
16 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
17 Council of the City of Carlsbad held the 23rd day of Septemb.er
18 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
