RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt Resolution Nos. 2010-098 , and 2010-099 appointing two
members to the Arts Commission
ITEM EXPLANATION:
The term of Heath Fox expired in March. Mr. Fox was originally appointed in July 2006 and has
served on the Commission for three years and nine months.
Commissioner Cynthia Millsap resigned from the Arts Commission in January 2010, leaving an
unexpired term that ends in March 2013.
Two appointments to the Commission are needed.
Other members of the Arts Commission are: Alan Lechusza Aquallo, Sherman DeForest, Rita
Francis, Barbara Iserloth and Sibylla Voll.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Pursuant to Public Resources Code Section 21065 and CEQA Guidelines Section 15378,
this action does not constitute a "project" within the meaning of CEQA and therefore, does
not require an environmental review.
NOTE: Members of the Arts Commission are subject to the provisions of the
Political Reform Act, and must file a Statement of Economic Interests.
Copies of applications received in calendar year 2010 are on file in the Office of the City
Clerk.

CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING ONE MEMBER TO
THE ARTS COMMISSION
that expires in March 2013; and
WHEREAS, one appointment to the Commission is needed to fill this unexpired
term.
